Hi there, I’m Neil
I have lived in Weston-super-Mare for most of the last 20 years having moved here from the West Midlands where I grew up. For most of my adult life I have been involved either with driving or teaching. I have driven articulated lorries, buses and passenger ambulances as well as cars and vans. I was for some years a Senior Nursing Officer in the In-service Training Department of the NHS so have considerable teaching experience across a wide range of ages and abilities.
My work in the NHS and when I was involved with running youth clubs has kept me in touch with the younger generation as well having 9 nieces and nephews almost all of whom are teenagers. My nursing qualification was with the speciality of working with learning disabilities which taught me that everyone is capable of learning new things given time, patience and the right instruction, irrespective of age or previous difficulties.
When I'm not teaching or driving in the car you can often find me driving a golf ball on my local golf course, usually being beaten by my wife who herself is a professional driver.
